🎓 Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess the requisite educational and professional qualifications as prescribed by the State Government for the post of Secondary Teacher (Class 9-10).
  • Students studying in the final year of their training qualification (during the academic year 2025-26) are also eligible to apply. However, they must produce the mark sheet of the qualifying exam before the recruitment process begins. If they fail to obtain the result by then, they cannot claim the right to the post.

1. Preliminary Examination (MCQ) – 200 Marks

This exam will be of multiple-choice questions. It will have two parts in a single paper of 3 hours (180 minutes).

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

2. Main Examination (Descriptive) – 200 Marks

Only candidates clearing the Prelims cut-off will be eligible for Mains.

  • Paper 1: Language Proficiency (100 Marks – 150 Minutes) – Gujarati or English (depending on medium). Includes Essay, Abbreviation, Letter Writing, Report Writing, and Grammar.
  • Paper 2: Content & Method (100 Marks – 180 Minutes). Includes descriptive answers (long/short) and objective questions based on the subject content of Std 9-10.
  • Qualifying Standard: To be included in the merit list, General Category candidates need 60% marks, and Reserved Category candidates need 55% marks in the Main Exam.
