Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive is for Temporary Assistant Professor / Temporary Teaching Assistant positions within the Faculty of Law for the following programmes:

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Consistently Good Academic Record with a Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC (like SLET/SET).
Exemption from NET/SLET/SET:
Candidates awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their amendments, or those registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 (under existing Ordinances/Bye-laws), are exempted from NET/SLET/SET, provided they fulfill specific conditions:
- Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode.
- Ph.D. Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- Published two research papers from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
- Presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in sponsored/funded conferences/seminars.
A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is applicable for Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their degree prior to September 19, 1991. A 5% relaxation is also applicable at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Socially and Economically Backward Classes (Non-creamy Layer)/Differently Abled categories for eligibility purposes. Minimum educational qualifications are governed by UGC Regulations, 2018, BCI Legal Education Rules, 2008, and the Gujarat Public Universities Act, 2023.
Age Limit
