Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Project Associate-I to work at CSIR-CSMCRI for CSIR funded project on ‘Deployment of optimized technology of Integrated System to Increase Solar Salt Yield by Enhancing Evaporation Rate of Brine developed during FTT project at field level / industrial premises ’ (Project No. FTC-030505)
Project Associate-I: 01 Post
Emoluments: (a) 31,000+ HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR- UGC/ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(b) 25,000+ HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
Duration: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
Age: As on the last date of receipt of the application, maximum 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.
Desirable Experience and Job Description: Candidate will have work to design, analysis, development, procurement, installation, commissioning, supervision, data recording and analysis in industry premise such as GHCL LTd. TATA Chemcials Ltd. etc. during integrated system installation and commissioning and salt-related field activities. Preference will be given knowledge about mechanical engineering aspects i.e. Thermal engineering, thermodynamic, heat and mass transfer, solar energy and renewable energy. Candidate have knowledge about various designing and analysis software like ANSYS CFD Pro, Auto CAD, SOLIDWORKS, GAMBIT. Candidate have work experience and expertise in operating solar thermal energy-based instruments/devices, solar reflector/concentrators, capability of practical implementation of system will be given preference. The candidate are expected to work on simulation system by developing CFD model and Ansys Simulation using experimental data on lab and salt field. He will be able to calculate solar energy devices output and turbulence analysis in designing software. He will supervised the installation and execution work for variouse components of integrated system like solar panel, solar water heater, circulation motion system, paddle wheel type system, laying of heat exchange system at industry premise like GHCL Ltd., Port victor, Rajula or Tata Chemicals, Mithapur etc. The project involves field scale experiments need constant monitoring and collection of various data regarding brine evaporation rate on field scale deployment and data recording in institute salt farm and industry premises.
This system will be deployed within the premises of a selected industry. Consequently, candidates must be prepared to work at GHCL (Rajula), TATA (Mithapur), or other designated locations.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization or masters of engineering in Heat transfer/ Thermal Engineering/ Renewble engineering/ Fluid Mechanics/ Industrial Engineering/Machine Design and Solid Mechanics.
