The final result of the long-awaited UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 for lakhs of candidates aspiring to join various central services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) is out today, April 16. 2024 has been announced.
This result is available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) upsc.gov.in. The Commission has prepared the result based on marks of the written examination held in September 2023 and the personality test held in January-April 2024.
Number of Successful Candidates
This year a total of 1016 candidates have been recommended for appointment in various services. Of these, 347 are from the general category, 115 from the EWS category, 303 from the OBC category, 165 from the SC category and 86 from the ST category. Apart from this, a total of 37 PwBD candidates have also been included in various categories.
Service-wise vacancies (Vacancies by Service)
Selected candidates will be divided into different services. This year there are a total of 180 vacancies in IAS, 37 in IFS, 200 in IPS, 613 in Group A Central Services and 113 in Group B Services.
