Home Minister Pradeep Singh Jadeja on Monday approved 19 new police stations and 8 new police outposts at the level of police inspectors, police sub-inspectors in five districts of the state. He also asked the State Police to start the recruitment process for around 12,000 posts in the Lok Raksha Dal-LRD next November.
Since 2018-19, the police have not been recruited in the Lok Raksha Dal. That has given new hope to millions of youth who are waiting for the recruitment of millions of youth who want to join the police service but due to the controversial resolution of the General Administration Department and the Covid-19 global epidemic, it was delayed. Home Minister Pradeep Singh Jadeja said the government is determined to complete the recruitment processes stalled in the police system due to the corona epidemic. The home department, the recruitment board are preparing to recruit 12,000 LRD in November after the Diwali vacation.
1401 posts have also been sanctioned for the new police station, outpost sanctioned for better management of law and order in new areas which have come into existence due to increasing population in Gujarat and shifting of citizens for business. Home Minister Jadeja said that 18 new polling stations were sanctioned at a cost of Rs 47.18 crore and 8 outstation posts have been upgrade in the Aravalli district. While Palanpur, Amirgarh in Banaskantha, Vijalpur in Navsari, Valsad Gramin in Valsad, Pardi, Dungara have been upgraded from sub-inspector-district to level stations.
After the E-launch of the New police station in Madhpar, the Home Minister said that it has been made operational in Kutch keeping in view the development of transportation, restaurant, banking, and tourism sector. Apart from Kutch, five new police stations have been approved in Surat city, three in rural, four in Vadodara city, three in Rajkot rural, and two in Bharuch district.
